Learning Support Program

Do you have remote learners at home? Great Hollow is here to help you and your children with our new Learning Support Program! On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we invite K-5 students to Great Hollow to complete their remote schooling under the supervision of our staff. Our educators oversee and provide in-person technical and academic support to your children as they complete their schoolwork throughout the day.

Students are grouped by age into small cohorts of up to 10 children. Strict COVID-19 safety measures, including face coverings and distanced work-spaces, are followed. The Supervised Learning Program runs from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, after which parents have the option to pick up their child(ren) or register them for our afterschool enrichment program that will run until 5:30 pm.

Afterschool Enrichment

Students participating in the Learning Support Program will have the option of staying “after school” for Great Hollow environmental science and STEAM programming. This will take place primarily outdoors from 3:00 – 5:30 pm and will cover a wide variety of topics, such as wildlife watching and tracking, wildlife ecology, forest ecology, and wilderness survival. Time will also be set aside for arts and crafts, independent play, and games.
