Learning Support Program

Great Hollow is pleased to support families during this challenging time with our Learning Support Program. In this program, we will be offering supervised learning and workspaces for school students who are involved in remote and hybrid learning through their school. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we invite K-5 students to Great Hollow to receive academic support with their remote schooling. Great Hollow educators will oversee and provide in-person technical and academic support to students as they complete their schoolwork throughout the day.

Students will be divided based on grade and grouped into small cohorts of up to 10 children. Strict COVID-19 safety measures, including face coverings, will be implemented. The Supervised Learning Program will run from 8:30 am to 2 pm, after which parents have the option to pick up their child(ren) or register them for our afterschool enrichment program that will run until 4 pm.

Afterschool Enrichment

Students participating in the Learning Support Program will have the option of staying “after school” for Great Hollow environmental science and STEAM programming. This will take place primarily outdoors from 2 – 4 pm and will cover a wide variety of topics, such as wildlife watching and tracking, wildlife ecology, forest ecology, and wilderness survival. Time will also be set aside for arts and crafts, independent play, and games.
