SUMMARY:Seminar: The Threat and Spread of the Spotted Lanternfly in Connecticut
DESCRIPTION:The spotted lanternfly is an invasive insect from Asia that is quickly spreading throughout the Northeast and presenting a novel threat to native trees and domestic crops — particularly grapes. Join us at the Sherman Library for a special presentation by our education coordinator\, Tara Ewers\, about the research she has been doing to better map and predict the spread of the spotted lanternfly through Connecticut’s forests and vineyards. During the presentation\, you will learn how to identify the spotted lanternfly during its different life-stages\, the ecological and economical threats it poses\, and what you can do to help slow its spread.
