DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a moonlit stroll up to the waterfall and listen for owls with Great Hollow’s naturalist\, John Foley. Remember to dress warm\, wear sturdy footwear\, and bring a flashlight or headlamp (please check and make sure the batteries work prior to the hike!). SUMMARY:A Retrospective History of Haviland Hollow and Great Hollow
DESCRIPTION:From Walter Gordon Merritt to Solomon and Roger Haviland\, the families and houses of the Hollows’ neighborhood will be traced through pictures and maps to illustrate a more than 250-year history.  Some hints about the prehistoric importance of the Hollows will also be discussed.  Views of the Coburn school and church\, and the Benjamin Haviland house\, and the ancestry of Mr. Merritt and of the Gerows of Locust Glen will be among the many items presented.
