Invasive species can cause lasting\, sometimes irreversible damage on our local ecosystems. Spend the day exploring the different types of these wild invaders and what we can do to help curb their impact. \nWednesday\n \nSnakes\, salamanders and skinks: Hurray for herptiles! Let’s take a look at the many species of amphibians and reptiles that call Connecticut home. We’ll go exploring for salamanders\, feed our resident Corn Snake\, and learn all about the elusive five-lined skink (Connecticut’s only native lizard!). \nThursday \nAdaptation Exploration!: From immortal jellyfish to poison-tongued lizards\, many wild animals have an impressive range of survival adaptions. Join us for a day dedicated to this mind-boggling world of animal adaptations\, and get inspired create an crazy animal of your own! \nFriday \nWildlife Trackers: Have you ever wondered how scientists learn about animals in the wild? Join us for a day of wildlife tracking and find out! Animals like coyotes\, deer\, and bears often show up on special trail cameras set up in wilderness areas. We’ll spend the day looking for tracks in the woods\, creating wildlife bait and lures\, and observing some trail camera photos. What will YOU find in the woods?
