Great Hollow provides sanctuary to six rehabilitated birds of prey that are non-releasable due to permanent injuries, mostly from collisions with cars. They have a good home here and serve as important ambassadors for their species. They are on display to the public year-round and free of charge.
The cost of feeding and housing these birds exceeds $4,000 annually. Our bird of prey adoption program helps cover these costs and makes a unique gift or way to honor the memory of a loved one.
We offer three different levels of adoption:
- Silver
Your chosen donation of $25-$99 includes a digital package that includes a certificate of adoption, a photo of your adopted bird, the story of how the bird was rescued and arrived in our care, and acknowledgment of your support in our newsletter and annual report. - Gold
Your chosen donation of $100-$199 includes your choice of a digital or hard copy certificate of adoption, a photo of your adopted bird, the story of how the bird was rescued and arrived in our care, acknowledgment of your support in our newsletter and annual report, and your name inscribed on a plaque displayed in front of the bird’s enclosure for one year. - Platinum
Your chosen donation of $200 or more includes your choice of a digital or hard copy certificate of adoption, a photo of your adopted bird, the story of how the bird was rescued and arrived in our care, acknowledgment of your support in our newsletter and annual report, and your name inscribed on a plaque displayed in front of the bird’s enclosure permanently.
