Curious Adults: Maple Sugaring

March 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Maple syrup season has arrived! Join us for this hands-on program led by our naturalist and CT Master Woodland Manager Ben Lee. We’ll begin in the lecture room with a short presentation on the science behind the syrup. Participants will then learn how to identify sugar maples as well as proper tapping and collection techniques. We’ll discuss boiling methods, filtration, and storage. And we’ll be sure to leave time for Q&As and taste-testing this seasonal sweet treat. Please email our education director Tara to register for this program.
