Great Hollow

We’re excited to introduce our new steward and naturalist, Ben Lee, who will be Great Hollow’s lead on land management, trail and grounds maintenance, and community events and outreach. Ben’s primary area of expertise is insect ecology, but he is knowledgeable about a wide range of northeastern wildlife, plants, and ecosystems. Ben received a B.S. in Conservation Biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) in 2016 and then worked as a biological technician for Cornell University and the CDC, respectively assisting with research on insect-pest management and mosquito transmission of malaria. He has also previously led environmental outreach programs for SUNY-ESF and a local summer camp, and looks forward to offering many interesting and engaging programs for the public at Great Hollow. Welcome, Ben!
