Bird Research Demonstration

July 25 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Great Hollow ornithologists Sarah Deckel and Chad Seewagen for an up-close look at how researchers safely capture birds to mark them with identification bands and collect measurements and other valuable data. We’ll talk about the many things scientists use this information for and why it is so important to study birds and monitor their populations. This program is suitable for ages 8 and up. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Free for members; a suggested donation of $5 per person for non-members is greatly appreciated. Please email Sarah at to sign up.
