Challenges and Progress in Tick-borne Disease Prevention

Come down to Great Hollow on September 16th to hear Dr. Rayda Krell, Assistant Professor at Western Connecticut State University, discuss current tick-borne disease prevention research and communication efforts in Fairfield County. She will highlight current trends in Lyme Disease and other tick-borne diseases, and how her work in the Tick-borne Disease Prevention Laboratory at WCSU explores a combination of prevention tactics that has never been tested before. Dr. Krell will also discuss the many challenges to preventing tick-borne diseases, including the importance of understanding human behavior.

The presentation will be held in our Lecture Room, in the rear entrance of the Merritt House. If you are not familiar with our campus, you can find a building directory here.
