Great Hollow Research Presented at NENHC 2025

Great Hollow

Great Hollow was well-represented at this year’s Northeast Natural History Conference, held in Springfield, Massachusetts. Post-doctoral research fellow, Sarah Deckel, and executive director, Chad Seewagen, organized and moderated the conference’s session on avian biology and conservation. Dr. Deckel also gave a talk on Great Hollow’s study of the energetics of high-elevation birds breeding on Vermont’s Mount Mansfield. Great Hollow’s education coordinator, Tara Ewers, gave a poster presentation on our study of the habitat associations of wood turtles in New York’s Catskills Mountains. It was Tara’s first time attending and presenting at a professional conference, and she nailed it! We all had a great time catching up with colleagues, making new connections, and hearing about all the other great research going on in the Northeast.
