New Staff Achievement

Great Hollow

This week, Great Hollow’s education coordinator, Tara Ewers, traveled to South Carolina to receive her master’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from Clemson University. The two-year remote learning program involved extensive coursework on topics such as invasive species, forest ecology, restoration ecology, conservation biology, and environmental education. Tara also completed several courses on geographic information systems (GIS), earning a certificate in GIS Applications for Natural Resources in addition to her degree. She has already been putting her new skills to work in our research on spotted lanternflies and wood turtles, and the development of this summer’s camp curriculum.  We could not be prouder of her accomplishment. Congratulations, Tara!
