Improvement to Great Hollow entrance
We recently constructed a new, safer entrance to the preserve. The old entrance for the YMCA Wilderness School, awkwardly located at the triangular intersection of Route 37 and Haviland Hollow Road was dangerous to pull in and out of, and difficult to find. Our new entrance is directly off of Route 37, about 200 feet north of Haviland Hollow Road. We will soon be putting out our new Great Hollow Nature Preserve sign and removing the old YMCA sign marking the old entrance. We also recently created a new parking area at our trail-head on Hardscrabble Road for easy access to our Purple Trail.
