In rememberence of George Cain, a NYC firefighter who died in the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11, staff from Great Hollow Nature Preserve and Putnam County Parks will be offering this special hike. Cain, a local outdoor enthusiast was often found hking and bicycling the Walter Merritt Park. After 9/11, Putnam County Parks graciously created both a trailhead and outdoor monument to dedicate him. We will meet at the Great Hollow parking lot at 9am and then carpool up to the Cain Memorial trailhead off Old Stage Coach Rd.
